If there's one thing you should know about me, it is that I am relentlessly passionate about missions. I take to heart God's commission to "go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19)."

 

In December 2011, God called me to Southeast Asia to work with children in the slums of a dominant Muslim culture. There, I was able to work with the local missionaries to teach these children about Jesus Christ and his love for them. We also taught them various skills needed to obtain a stable job to get them out of the slums and out of poverty. Through this mission, I was able to document the culture of an unreached nation, and I was able to take a family potrait for each of the families we met, all of whom had never had their photo taken. 

 

I am so honored that the missionaries were able to use these images to spread the Good News of their ministry to other growing churches around the world, showing how their ministry is freeing the people around them.
